Missions and Outreach
Students at Mountain View Christian Academy have the opportunity to participate in both local and global service trips. Seniors also have the added opportunity to travel internationally as a culmination of schooling. All of these opportunities have proven very successful in educating the whole student and making individuals aware of ways that they can make an impact not only in their local society, but also in the world. Parents are invited to travel with students and take advantage of these opportunities as well.
Local OutreachStudents participate in various service projects in the local community, both individually, with their families, and with school-organized service projects. In the past, students have worked with local nursing homes, a local children's home, and other community organizations that serve the residents of Winchester and the surrounding areas.
Global OutreachMountain View Christian Academy has also recognized the need to give students an opportunity to experience a different culture and serve overseas. As such, MVCA has developed a relationship with Go Ministries and Marte Mission in the Dominican Republic that allows interested 9th - 12th graders to serve others for a week in VBS activities and work projects at a missions camp side by side with the Dominican people. The annual trip has led to the development of long-term relationships between our students and the people of the Dominican. Many secondary students, graduates, and parents have become repeat attenders of this Easter week of service.
