High School
High school students take core academic courses, including English, math, science, history, health/P.E., and Bible. Math classes are determined by students' readiness levels and include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, and Pre-Calculus. Science classes include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. In addition, students participate in elective classes.

Elective Classes
Secondary students have various electives available to them each year. These vary by year depending on student need and staff availability. Electives in the past have included classes such as Driver's Education, Art, Bible Bowl, Outdoor Skills, Drama, Beginning Violin, Robotics, Crime Scene Investigation, Cooperative Gaming, SAT Math Preparation, World Travelers, Women of the Bible, French, Photography, Animal Science, Bible Narratives, Missions, Speech, Counseling, and Yearbook.
Dual Enrollment
Classes are offered through Laurel Ridge Community College or Blue Ridge Community College for dual enrollment where students can earn credits for high school and college. Students must meet academic and behavioral requirements to be eligible to take classes for dual enrollment. Students taking dual enrollment classes must maintain a 3.0 average in their classes at MVCA and cannot receive a D or F in any class. Contact the office for more information about dual enrollment.
