Faith in Our Future Rally

We are so excited to share with you about the upcoming Faith in Our Future Rally that will be held on Friday, May 16, at Mountain View Christian Academy.
The Faith in our Future Rally is to

• Honor and show appreciation for our civil and community servants for the work they do daily to ensure that we can have Faith in Our Future,
• Unite with others who recognize how critical it is that we raise up a group of godly young men and women who will be the next “servant leaders” and lead with a faith-based worldview, and to
• Educate parents, educators, and all citizens on local, state, and federal issues affecting our youth in education and religious liberties.

We will kick of the event at noon with an appreciation luncheon to thank all who serve this community – elected officials, police officers, fire fighters, and more. For the afternoon, we have an amazing line up of civil servant leaders who will be speaking.

• You will hear from Frederick County Police Officers Sheriff Lenny Millholland and Captain Jason Cornwell on local school safety issues in Winchester and Frederick County.
• Mayor Les Veach will share his vision for the future of our youth in Winchester.
• Philip Scott, vice president of Legal Affairs for the Association of Christian Schools International, along with our Virginia Delegate Bill Wiley and possibly Senator Timmy French will address state issues impacting the future of our youth. And,
• George Tryfiates, the vice president for Public Policy and Legal Affairs from the Association of Christian Schools International, will educate on federal issues impacting our youth and religious freedoms.

In addition to those speaking, elected officials Delegate Delores Oates, Representative Ben Cline, and others will be attending the event.
We will have organized yard games and activities for the children after school so that you can know your children are taken care of while you hear the speakers.
Ham and roast beef dinners prepared on a smoker for only $10 a plate will be served for dinner so you can stay on campus and eat well prior to our final keynote message at 6:00 pm in the auditorium where we will highlight how we as a community can do our part to ensure the we will have FAITH in our Future and that we can have Faith in our FUTURE!
Please plan to come and spend the day with us honoring our civil servants and learning how your voice can be heard.
We also ask that you keep this event and our leaders in prayer. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 exhorts us to pray for all in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. What a powerful passage!
